My name is Mike Casper. I have been a taxidermist for 30+ years and working professionally for over 20. I do not consider my work a job; it's an art! One cannot re-create nature's perfection without pure artistry. It has to be a passion with never-ending motivation. Over the years, I've competed at taxidermy shows from state to national levels, and I have won over 37 state, regional, and national awards. My competition highlight was winning Best of Category at the World Taxidermy Championship at Lawrence, Kansas, in the bird category. Considered one of the "World's Best" by the renown taxidermy magazine, "Breakthrough," my work can be found in several museums and thousands of homes, including that of Hall-of-Famer Hank Aaron.
